Wellness Programs

CPT&W offers a variety of wellness programs to enhance your health and well being beyond the one-on-one physical therapy including:

Yoga Class- Wednesdays at 6:30 to 7:30 pm- taught by Paula Sharon, LMT. Includes a Hatha Yoga style class modified for individuals with limitations due to orthopedic conditions or other health concerns that might restrict normal movement. Special attention is placed on breath work, meditation and gentle yoga postures designed to improve strength, flexibility and balance. Paula has 25 years of experience in outpatient orthopedics and fitness.

Parkinson's Exercise and Balance Class- Tuesdays 7:30 to 8:30 am- taught by Jenny Reeve, MSPT. Includes exercises and activities to work on the challenges specific to Parkinson's Disease including posture, flexibility, strength, balance and ambulation.

 

General Exercise and Stretching Class- Thursdays 1:00-2:00 pm- taught by Lori Carlson, PT. Inlcudes general stretching, strengthening, flexibility, core stabilization and balancing execises in lying, sitting andstanding positions.

 

Gym Equipment:  Individual exercise programs can  be developed for you which may include a variety of exercise equipment including treadmill, elliptical or bike for aerobic conditioning along with Swiss Ball, Pilates , free weights or the Wii - all to assist you in doing your customized program safely and comfortably.

Transition's Weight Management Program - a 12 week program offered throughout the year with classes 1 time per week for progressive education and lifestyle changes to a low glycemic diet to lose weight and body fat as well as increase energy all through the day.
